About Us

Run For Veterans was founded with one mission: raise support and awareness for U.S. military veterans mental health care needs through running races. We create family oriented events open to all athletic abilities as we know the more feet at the start line, the more we can do for our local military.  Whether Run For Veterans is your first race or hundredth, you are cheering on friends or just looking to be part of a local, patriotic event, we invite you to join us Sunday, July 30, 2017 for our 4th annual Run For Veterans 5K.

Run For Veterans operates on an all-volunteer basis. We give all net proceeds from each event to a carefully selected local not-for-profit focusing on providing mental health care treatment, therapy, or support for our U.S. military.

The Village of Burr Ridge and the Burr Ridge Village Center graciously give their resources and time to us to host the Run For Veterans. This tremendous generosity allows us to give more to our local veterans. In return, we ask you please support the community by visiting their veteran’s memorial or shopping at local businesses.

Don’t miss your opportunity to run through the streets of downtown Burr Ridge and give back to the men and women in uniform that have done so much for our country.
